Project Description: Competition for refurbishment and regeneration of a sensitive public site adjacent to Oslo Townhall (Rådhuset). The competition was to design an Art Gallery in a sensitive prime location of Oslo Harbour. The new design had to fit and blend in with the surrounding urban fabric in a sympathetic way. The end result was a stepped and carefully articulated design that fitted in with site using materials that related to the surrounding buildings.
